I am from Mulberry, Arkansas and a graduate of Mulberry High School. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Oral Communications and Secondary Education with Theatre Emphasis degree and a Masters in School Counseling and Leadership from Arkansas Tech University. I am a member of ArSCA (Arkansas School Counseling Association). I began my teaching career in 2007 and have been with the Greenwood School District since 2011. I have worked at Westwood Elementary, Greenwood High School, Greenwood Junior High, and am happy to have now found my home and dream job at East Pointe Elementary. I love counseling and helping children every day! My husband, Cody, and I have been married since 2008 and have recently welcomed a new baby boy into the world. Holden was born April 4, 2016, and he is our pride and joy.In my very rare free time since having Holden, I greatly enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, traveling, shopping, attending my church, and going to my life group bible study. My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Heather Gudenkauf, Nicholas Sparks, and Stephen King.

I am a graduate of Roland High School in Roland, Oklahoma. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. In the summer of 2019, I received my Master in School Counseling and Leadership from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. I taught high school science in Waldron, Arkansas for five years. I taught chemistry and physics at Greenwood High School for five years. I started counseling in the fall of 2023 and I feel very lucky to be in the amazing school district of Greenwood Public Schools.
In addition to my responsibilities as a counselor, I am a member of the Arkansas Education Association (AEA), National Education Association (NEA), Education Association of Greenwood (EAG), and Arkansas School Counseling Association (ArSCA).
