Dr. Chatman currently serves as Assistant Superintendent. He is a graduate of Alma High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts, Masters, Specialists, and Doctoral Degrees in Education from Arkansas Tech University. His career as an educator began at Dardanelle Middle School, where he taught 7th-grade social studies. Dr. Chatman then served as Assistant Principal at Russellville Middle School before moving to Greenwood. At Greenwood, Dr. Chatman served as Assistant Principal and Principal of Greenwood Junior High and Principal of the Greenwood Freshman Center and High School Principal prior to becoming Assistant Superintendent. He is married to Becky Chatman, a Counselor at East Pointe Elementary School. They have two sons, Holden and Carter.
Dr. Chatman serves grades 7-12 in curriculum, personnel, and daily operations. He will also work with student enrollment, district assessments, and compliance.

JOHN CIESLA
Mr. Ciesla joined the administrative team at Greenwood as an assistant superintendent in 2006-2007 and assumed the role of superintendent in July of 2013. Mr. Ciesla received his Bachelor of Science in Natural Science for Secondary Education, Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and Educational Specialist's Degree from Arkansas Tech University. Before coming to Greenwood, Mr. Ciesla taught and coached for seven years at Hector High School, was the high school principal at Lavaca for two years, and served from 2004-2006 as the Superintendent of Schools at Lavaca.
Mr. Ciesla is married to Angel (Butler) Ciesla, a graduate of Greenwood High School, and they have four children. Mr. Ciesla states, "I cannot think of a better place to work and raise a family than Greenwood, Arkansas."
Mr. Ciesla's responsibilities include: implementing policies of the Board, developing short and long-term goals for the district, acting as a liaison between the Board and school personnel, and developing and administering the district’s budget. Mr. Ciesla is also involved in the following organizations: Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators, Arkansas Association of School Administrators, Arkansas Activities Association, Arkansas Association of School Business Officials, Arkansas Association of Personnel Administrators, and the Arkansas Association of Curriculum and Instruction Administrators.

KEVIN HESSLEN
Mr. Hesslen has been employed as an educator for 30+ years, and 26 of those years have been in Greenwood Schools. Mr. Hesslen began his career as a basketball coach and science teacher. He later became an Assistant Principal and Principal for Greenwood Jr. High and is most recently employed as Deputy Superintendent.
Mr. Hesslen was a 1984 graduate of Greenwood High School. He attended Westark College where he played basketball, earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas.
Kevin and his wife Christy have three children. Hope, Hannah, and Hunter. All three graduated from Greenwood and received Bachelor's degrees from Pepperdine University.
DR. CODY CHATMAN
SUZANNE WILSON
Mrs. Wilson currently serves as the Interim Assistant Superintendent for the school district. A proud graduate of Greenwood High School, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Arkansas Tech University, followed by a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas, and an Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University.
Throughout her 28-year career with the Greenwood School District, Mrs. Wilson has held various leadership roles, including elementary teacher, preschool director, elementary assistant principal, elementary principal, and Assistant Superintendent for the past decade. She is now stepping in as the Interim Assistant Superintendent.
Mrs. Wilson is married to Don Wilson, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her daughter Allie and her husband Adam, her son Tyler, and her grandchildren Davis and Demi.
In addition to overseeing the PK-6 curriculum, personnel, and daily operations, Mrs. Wilson also serves as the Communications Director for the district.
