Met Butters and Dawn this afternoon!!🐥🐥

It’s Chicken Week! ❤️🐥❤️
Third graders have been learning about inherited traits and life cycles! We spent a week learning about chickens then incubated some different types of chicken eggs. We loved watching these babies hatch and sharing our knowledge with other students at East Pointe! #bringingSciencetoLife #ChickenWeek 🐣🐣🐣

Mrs. Shonebarger's class created an exothermic reaction when making ziplock bag ice cream. Yum!! 💙💙💙

Mrs. Emily Gordon, a local beekeeper, came to share her knowledge and passion for honeybees with our 3rd grade scientists! She shared many interesting facts about bees to wrap up our unit on honeybees. She also brought her tools that she uses with her own bees - she even brought honey to share with us! We are so thankful for our guest speakers that come and share their expertise with our students! #bringingsciencetolife #honeybeesareawesome #thirdgradescientists 🐝🐝🐝

Just call us aspiring Picasso artists!! Our students had so much fun painting their partner portraits!! One student placed a piece of plastic over their face while the other student painted their features with colorful paint. After they were done, the partners transferred the painted plastic portrait to a piece of paper and displayed it on the hallway wall along with a written description of each portrait.
